Speed is a small city located in Phillips County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 37. The city was founded in the 1890s and incorporated in 1928. It was named after James Speed, who served as the United States Attorney General under President Abraham Lincoln. The city covers a total area of 0.15 square miles, all of which is land.
