The Egyptian German Automotive Company (EGA), established in 1996, is a prominent car assembler located in the 6th of October City, Egypt. Initially founded as a joint venture between engineer Samy Saad and former Daimler-Benz CEO Jürgen Erich Schrempp, EGA specialized in assembling Mercedes-Benz vehicles. Over time, the company expanded its operations to include the machining of brake discs, supplying both local and international markets, including Daimler AG in Germany. EGA is partially owned by the National Automotive Company (NATCO) and holds a 25% stake in the Egyptian Kuwaiti Foundry (EKF), which manufactures raw brake discs and drums.
