Established in 1996, the Horticultural Export Improvement Association (HEIA) is an industry-driven non-governmental organization in Egypt. It supports the horticultural community—including producers, exporters, and suppliers—aiming to increase exports of fresh produce through continuous improvements in quality production, marketing, policy advocacy, training, and management assistance. HEIA provides a range of services such as technical support, training sessions, certification preparation, and logistics facilities like the Perishable Terminal at Cairo International Airport and a cold storage house in Luxor. The association collaborates with local and international bodies to promote sustainable development in the horticultural sector.
