The Knowledge Economy Foundation (KEF) is an Egyptian non-governmental organization (NGO No. 8747/Law 84) registered with the Ministry of Social Solidarity. KEF focuses on developing inclusive business approaches that link micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to their markets through sustainable marketing networks utilizing ICT-based tools. Operating 'Bashaier,' Egypt's first agribusiness marketing platform, KEF serves approximately 7 million farmers, representing 85% of the country's cultivated land with holdings of less than 3 acres. The foundation is also involved in export crop value chains, agro-finance schemes, and digital climate advisory services, aiming to enhance the agribusiness ecosystem in Egypt.
