Established on August 1, 1964, under the Selangor State Development Corporation Enactment (1964), the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) is a statutory body and development agency for the state of Selangor, Malaysia. PKNS aims to promote socio-economic growth and equitable economic distribution within the state by developing new growth centers, sustainable residential areas, industrial and business hubs, and engaging in various investment activities. Over the years, PKNS has been instrumental in the development of self-sufficient townships such as Shah Alam, Petaling Jaya, Bangi, and Ampang, contributing significantly to Selangor's status as the most developed and affluent state in Malaysia.
