The brand gained significant popularity, becoming the official soda supplier to King Farouk's palace and a favorite among Egyptian celebrities like Umm Kulthum. After a period of decline due to market liberalization and foreign competition, the brand was revitalized in 2019 by MYMCO (For Food and Beverage Company). In 2023, amid national campaigns to boycott international products, Spiro Spathis experienced a resurgence, with sales increasing by 300% and the company receiving over 15,000 job applications.
