Founded more than fifty years ago Telesonic Packaging Corp. and the Ames Engineering division have designed and manufactured packaging machinery to wrap and bag foods, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, paper and textile products. The core business of wicketed bag packaging and shrink packaging machinery evolved with the addition of vertical and horizontal pouch packaging machinery and high speed stretch wrapping of consumer sized food products, operating with roll stock flexible films. With the acquisition of the Ames Engineering Corp. the production of stand-up/zipper pouch packaging machinery was added to the growing demand for flexible films packaging. Telesonic innovations have been marketed worldwide and management continues to study and develop machinery for these dynamics. The history of the company began with the patent of the wicketed bag packager and sealers. With the acquisition of the Trescott Corp., Telesonic/Trescott Corp. became the second largest producer of shrink packaging machinery.
