Thistledown Wines is a Sustainable Winegrowing Australia certified, award winning producer with a focus on old vine Grenache but also commitment to growers of Shiraz and Chardonnay across McLaren Vale, Barossa and Adelaide Hills. Thistledown Wines are being recognised alongside some of the finest wines in the world and are regularly listed at the world's best restaurants. The five red star Halliday winery and Top 100 Australian Winery was founded in 2010 by two Masters of Wine Giles Cooke and Fergal Tynan. The high quality fruit comes from many of the best old vine sites in the iconic regions of South Australia. Clever picking decisions, amazing old vine fruit and a low intervention, small-batch approach allows Thistledown to couple concentration of flavour with balance, energy and elegance.
