Eimverk Distillery, established in 2009, is Iceland's first and only whisky distillery. This family-operated distillery is dedicated to producing premium Icelandic spirits exclusively from local ingredients. Their product line includes Flóki, a single malt whisky; Vor, a pot-distilled gin; and Víti, a traditional Icelandic brennivín. Eimverk takes pride in handcrafting their spirits, utilizing custom-made distillation equipment and maturing their whisky in new American oak casks. The use of 100% Icelandic barley, a hardy strain selected to thrive during the short, intense Icelandic summer, imparts a sweet maltiness and a blend of spice notes to their whisky. Eimverk offers distillery tours where visitors can sample their products and learn about the processes involved in creating Icelandic spirits.
