Established in 2013, New World Currents Limited is a joint venture formed by five Chilean salmon companies: Australis, Blumar, Camanchaca, Yadrán, and Marine Farm. The company focuses on producing and distributing salmon products, including chilled whole fish, frozen whole fish, and various frozen semi-finished and pre-processed products, catering specifically to the Chinese market. Within three years of its inception, New World Currents accounted for nearly 25% of all Chilean salmonid shipments to China, significantly enhancing the presence of Chilean salmon in the region.
