Quinta da Marmeleira is a distinguished winery located approximately 40 km from Lisbon, in the Estremadura region of Portugal. Nestled in the Tejo River valley, the estate benefits from a unique microclimate influenced by the Atlantic breeze, the warmth of the Alentejo, and the coolness of the Ribatejo, creating ideal conditions for viticulture. The vineyard's terroir, characterized by clay and limestone soils, is comparable to that of Bordeaux, facilitating the production of high-quality wines. Acquired in 2015 by Macau entrepreneur Wu Zhiwei, the estate has undergone significant development, including the planting of new grape varieties such as Touriga, Syrah, and Alicante Bouschet. Under the guidance of a renowned Portuguese oenologist, the vineyard has been meticulously organized to optimize yield and quality, with a focus on producing wines that appeal to both local and international markets, particularly China.
