Established in 1975, Rooney Fish is a family-run business located in Kilkeel on the Irish Sea coast of Northern Ireland. Specializing in catching, preparing, and processing premium shellfish, the company offers products such as langoustines, crabs, lobsters, whelks, scampi tails, and scallops. In 2014, they expanded by opening an oyster farm in Carlingford Lough, producing award-winning Millbay Oysters. Rooney Fish operates a modern, fully automated plant with EU approval, featuring facilities for nitrogen freezing, blast freezing, cooking, cold storage, automated grading, and in-house laboratory quality control. They export to over 15 countries, including markets in the Far East, South America, and Europe.
