Established on June 18, 2001, Shandong Zhonglu Oceanic (Yantai) Foods Co., Ltd. is a joint venture between Shandong Zhonglu Oceanic Fisheries Co., Ltd., a publicly listed company on the Shenzhen B stock market, and Habitat International Corp. Located in the Yantai Economic and Technological Development Zone, the company occupies a land area of 33,000 square meters, with a processing workshop of 8,000 square meters. It boasts frozen storage capabilities of 3,000 tons at -30°C and 3,000 tons at -60°C, employing over 1,300 staff. The factory, operational since September 1, 2002, adheres to HACCP and European Union registration standards, utilizing Japanese-imported processing and refrigeration equipment. Specializing in deep-cooled tuna sashimi blocks and fillets, the company also processes Spanish mackerel fillet, mackerel fillet, pollock fillet, salmon fillet, squid fillet, and sole slice, with an annual production capacity of 22,000 tons. Its primary export market is Japan, with plans to expand domestically.
